Class Descriptions
Microsoft Office 2007 Introduction
This eight-week course will introduce students to the basics of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook 2007 by geginning with a comprehensive look at the new Ribbon interface in each applicationa. Students will learn the basic techniques for keying and editing documents in Word, entering and editing entries in Excel, creating presentations in PowerPoint and learn the basics of sending, receiving and replying to email messages using Outlook.
PC-A: Microsoft Word/Excel Beginning
Learn how to create, edit, save and retrieve documents. Understand toolbars and basic functions of the most-used word processor. Learn to cut, copy and paste from one document to another. Learn how to create flyers with MS word by inserting and customizing clip art, Word Art, and formatting styles and font. Learn how to create spreadsheets. Learn how to open and save a Workbook, enter labels and values, name and move a sheet, preview and print a Worksheet. Learn how to create formulas, what are built-in functions, copying formulas and functions.
PC-B: Microsoft Word/Excel Intermediate

Learn how to format text and paragraphs by changing font styles and effects, change line and paragraph spacing, align paragraphs, work with tabs and indents, add bullets and numbering, and add borders and shading. Learn to create, customize and format tables. Learn to perform mail merge to create documents used in mass mailings, such as letters and labels. Learn how to format fonts and font sizes using Excel, change attributes and alignment, adjust columns and rows. Learn how to plan, design and enhance charts with Excel. Lean how to sort records on one and multiple fields. Learn how to embed and link a spreadsheet and chart into other MS programs.
