G.E.D. TEST dates, registration and eligibility requirements

Registration/Fees

Registration is limited to the first 20 eligible adults at the Adult School main office at 16666 Tunstall Lane, Huntington Beach, (see map) by 8:00a on the Monday morning of the two day test (see test dates below). THERE IS NO PRE-REGISTRATION.


	To register, you must bring:
	1.	A picture ID (driver's license, state ID, or current passport. If driver's license is not from California, you must show proof of residency)
	2.	$100 exact cash. Change may not be available. No checks will be accepted. NO REFUNDS FOR NON-ATTENDANCE ON TEST DATE.

Testing Eligibility Requirements

	1.	California resident
	2.	Must be 18 years of age. Exception: a 17-year old may test if: a). they are within 60 days of their 18th birthday; b) they are within 60 days of when their class would have graduated (must be approved for testing by Adult School principal prior to registration); c) must be out of school 60 days and present a written request on official letterhead from the military, a prospective employer, or a postsecondary institution. A dropout who has enrolled in Adult School GED prep ONLY will meet the out-of-school requirements (must be approved by Adult School principal prior to registration).

Fall 2008 Test Dates

September 8 and 9, 2008	Tests are scheduled from 3:30 - 9:00 on the Monday and Tuesdays nights listed. You must attend both evenings. It is recommended that you take the GED Preparation class prior to taking the test

November 3 and 4
December 1 and 2
January 5 and 6, 2009

Test scores are usually available within three weeks after the test date. Your scores will be mailed to you.
