evening seminars for parents of young children
Research shows that parents who are trained in effective parenting raise healthier, more successful children. The Adult School is proud to offer parents and extended family members of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers a series of seminars taught by certificated specialists. Most of these sessions are free and held at either the Adult School Main Campus. Preregistration is preferred. For an updated schedule of seminars (dates and times may change) or to register, please call the Parent Education office (714-847-2873x219) or email the Parent Education Department.
Parents in the Parent Smart Preschool are required to attend four of these seminars; parents of children in the Toddler Program are required to attend two of these seminars.
Understanding Young Children's Behavior
This seminar is the first of a series of workshops based on the book Systematic Training in Effective Parenting, the STEP program for preschool parents. Learn principles of child development and age-appropriate behaviors.
