the art of film
Movie buffs will love this special series that focuses on appreciation of films, one of the most influential art forms in modern history. This fall we will examine the evolution of Hollywood's greatest studios and productions from the Golden Age of cinema to present. Students will view 12 films, including such classics as Casablanca, The Sea Hawk, and Mildred Pierce with "state-of-the-art" projection DVD on a 9-ft screen. Instructor Lynn Aase, well known retired master teacher at Huntington Beach High School, will provide insights into film techniques, performances, and history.
Fee: $20 for seniors 55+ - others $40
