The Huntington Beach Adult School is an authorized testing site for the nationally recognized GED test. The minimum age to take the GED is 18 years. GED tests (5) include writing skills, social studies, science, interpreting literature and the arts and math. Each of these tests requires a demonstration of the knowledge and thinking skills equivalent to the level learned during four years of high school. Prior to taking the tests, applicants are encouraged to take the GED test preparation class.
